Description

This is my piece of work for the MAKE A CHANGE CONTEST 2006. Actually this is my first photo manipulation... and it was a lot of fun to create it. Originally it is a 50x70 cm poster (about 6000x8000 px), dedicated to my wonderful girlfriend :)
Unfortunately many details can not be seen here, so I added some close-ups below. Hope you like it!

wow - it looks so freaky :) the colours come a bit too strong - maybe you could tone it down a little...there are so many elements that it's a tad difficult to concentrate on a specific part - but that's my own humble opinion :)
P.S. what happened to his face ?

Thanks for commenting DreamShadow! You asked about his face: I wanted to express that he is not a 30-years-old-family-father-working-at-a-bank- jogging-on-sunday-morning-to-stay-healthy. He is young but life hasn't been easy for him so far; he walks in the park to escape reality, but he can't escape the tearing forces. In fact on the one side of his face there is a tumour and he was shot into the forehead. You can look at the last close-up, there you can see it better.

The guy has a shadow, but the angel doesn't. the red thing that comes out of the ground also should have a shadow. and like dreamshadow said: the colors are too strong. Anyway, really good work. Like the concept!

Thanks Crazyboy! Well, the angel was intentionally not supposed to cast a shadow, but at the tail of the devil (the red thing) I really didnt recognize that it is missing. You got me ;)
You both have a point concerning the colours. I was inspired by a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"-poster on my kitchen wall - maybe this explains something:
